Mark is an operations and technology executive who leads large-scale organizations and transformations. As the head of FCM’s Operations practice, he partners with private equity firms and portfolio companies to grow enterprise value, and has overseen the project management organizations (PMOs) for multiple large carve-outs. Before joining FCM, Mark was SVP and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Nielsen’s $2.5B media measurement portfolio, leading an operations team of 8,000 associates across 45 countries. He delivered $200M in productivity over three years in the role, while implementing process improvements that set records in quality and delivery. Earlier, Mark led Technology Service Delivery for the Americas, achieving 8%+ productivity annually. Additionally, he directed the re-platforming of Nielsen’s 30-year-old data processing factory and transformed legacy mainframe systems to service-based, open systems with reusable components. In this technology leadership role, Mark also oversaw organizational restructuring and global talent transitions as Nielsen went private in 2007.
